The DOLPHIN HUMAN THERAPY internship program began as a full time program
in May, 1995, working with college students and professionals from all over
the world. We have had a total of approximately 50 interns with us through
1995 and 1996.
We offer students who are studying or working in a field related to our
program, a professional environment enabling them to learn how to work with
mentally and physically handicapped children and adults.
As an intern, you will assist the DHT therapy staff in charting the sessions,
positioning the children during therapy, and helping with the preparation
and completion of the sessions themselves. Your opportunity at DHT will
enable you to learn from experienced and knowledgeable educational therapists
while working with children from all over the world.
Your goal should be to leave DHT with a greater understanding of how dolphins
assist special needs children with increasing their attention, learning
capacity, confidence, and courage.
For more information, or an application, please call Diane Sandelin at (305)
451-1077.
